Scott Uhl

Scott Uhl is a principal with Quorum Risk & Insurance Solutions, LLC. Quorum Risk is a blended wholesale and co-brokerage insurance intermediary and risk consulting firm with an office in Dallas. Scott is the director of the D&O and Governance Risk Management Group & Technology E&O practice.

Prior to forming Quorum Risk, Scott was a Vice President and National Technology Practice Leader with Lockton Financial Services, splitting his time between Silicon Valley and Texas. While at Lockton, Scott was been responsible for the procurement and placements of D&O and E&O programs for a multitude of publicly-traded companies in the technology, telecom, healthcare and retail sectors. Scott also acted as an internal and client resource in the areas of directors and officers liability, governance infrastructure design, board effectiveness, director accountability, organizational compliance efficacy, and associated risk mitigation strategies.

Prior to Lockton, Scott was the Vice President and West Coast Underwriting Manager for the San Francisco branch of Liberty International Underwriters Specialty Casualty division, underwriting Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Professional Liability for publicly traded high-technology and bio-technology issuers and privately held middle market, commercial and financial institution firms.

Earlier assignments included that of Branch Manager and lead-IPO management liability underwriter at American International Group (AIG) Middle Market D&O Technology practice in San Francisco and a five-year stint as a Workers Compensation Risk Manager for Contractors Labor Pool (CLP), (www.clp.com) a $100M+ construction staffing company with over 5000 employees in over 50 branch offices throughout the Western United States (acquired by Labor Ready in 2005).

Scott is on the advisory board of the North Texas chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, a guest lecturer at the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management and a frequent speaker on governance risk management issues. Scott is also member of the Professional Liability Underwriters Society (PLUS), National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) (www.nacdntx.org), the American Risk and Insurance Association, and the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Scott Uhl is a member of the Evaluators Board of the North Texas Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization (NTXRCIC). This evergreen fund was created and funded by the State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) to provide state investments in new companies for the commercialization of technology innovations.

A resident of Dallas / Ft. Worth, Texas, Scott graduated from California State University, Chico earning a B.A. in Economic Geography. Post-graduate studies include international finance at the University of Nevada and securities analysis at the University of California, Berkeley, and several risk management courses from the Insurance Institute of America.
Rick Toland
Rick Toland is a principal with Quorum Risk & Insurance Solutions, Inc. and is based in Los Angeles. Quorum Risk is a blended wholesale/co-brokerage insurance intermediary and risk consulting firm, with an office in Los Angeles. Rick is the director of the D&O, Healthcare and Errors & Omissions practices.

In 1997, prior to his involvement with Quorum Risk, Rick founded F. C. Morgan & Company, an excess and surplus lines wholesale brokerage that specialized in the negotiation and placement of complex Directors & Officers Liability Insurance programs for numerous publicly-traded companies in the telecom, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, retail and private equity sectors.

Rick was also engaged in tailoring Professional Liability programs for a multitude of law firms, investment advisers, insurance brokerages, architects and engineers, consultants and a variety of health care organizations. In addition to his brokerage activities, Rick was the sole production source of the firm's revenue and was responsible for the oversight of six employees.

During his ten years with F. C. Morgan & Company, Rick took the company from a zero revenue start up company, to an enterprise with $15,000,000 in written premium in its first five years of operation.

Prior to Rick's involvement with F. C. Morgan & Company, Rick held positions of Vice President and Financial Services Division Practice Leader at both Lemac & Associates, Inc. (1995 - 1997) and Tri-City Brokerage, Inc. (1988 - 1995). Assignments at both Lemac and Tri-City involved the start up of a Financial Services (D&O/EPL/E&O) practice from scratch, which served him well in his career with F. C. Morgan & Company and will be beneficial to him in his work at Quorum Risk.

Rick is a resident of Los Angeles, California and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder after earning a degree in the field of Economics. Rick is active with the PLUS Organization and regularly attends its continuing education seminars and symposiums.
Rymante M. Vizgirda
Rymante Vizgirda is an Assistant Vice President, Account Executive with Quorum Risk & Insurance Solutions, Inc. Quorum Risk is a blended wholesale and co-brokerage insurance intermediary and risk consulting firm with an office in Los Angeles.

Rymante joined F.C. Morgan & Company in July of 2006. She is responsible for the marketing and servicing of Directors & Officers Liability and Errors & Omissions accounts.

Prior to F.C. Morgan & Company Rymante worked for Lockton Insurance Brokers for 3 years in the D&O and Governance Risk Management / Financial Services Group. She was responsible for negotiating program design for small to medium-sized private companies and non-profits. She also assisted the department head with large public accounts and aided in the preparation of presentation materials for Board Retreats in the area of Corporate Governance. Rymante was also responsible for training new hires and developing department procedures while assisting in growing the group from four (4) associates to ten (10) within a four (4)-month span.

From February 2000 to February 2002 Rymante worked for BaltoLink Insurance Brokers in Vilnius, Lithuania as the Client Service Director. She negotiated program design for Property & Casualty accounts for private companies and introduced and placed specialized insurance within the Lithuanian marketplace.

From 1997 to 1999 Rymante worked for BoardWorksSM, a Corporate Governance Consultancy firm, which was a joint venture between Marsh and Mercer. She coordinated operational aspects of corporate governance consultancy engagements, i.e. interview schedules, project timelines, assisted consultants in preparing presentations, created and published marketing materials and assisted in consultant marketing activities.

Prior to BoardWorksSM Rymante worked in the FINPRO Department of Marsh from 1994 to 1997 as a Client Representative. She assisted brokers in the marketing and servicing of several Fortune 100 companies. She assisted in populating the FINPRO knowledge database with publications, presentations and corporate templates for nationwide use.

Rymante started her career in insurance with Wausau Insurance Companies working with Property, Casualty and Employee Benefits as a sales assistant in 1988.
